Food and Wine Festival 2022 Handy Tips

Food and Wine Festival 2022 | The most well-known annual event at Walt Disney World is perhaps the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Food and Wine Festival 2022

It is a large occasion as well. the festival's magnitude and breadth can undoubtedly be overpowering.

It helps to have some insider tips from someone who has attended the festival a lot of times in order to make the most of your day (or more) there.

How Much are Tickets for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival?

How much does an entrance to the event cost? That is the question I'm asked the most.

We need no additional ticket to enter Epcot. if we already have a theme park ticket. The Food & Wine Festival is free to visit.

However, visiting the theme parks at Disney World is not inexpensive (get my tips for finding the cheapest Disney World tickets in this post).

However, you should budget for consuming sample-sized servings of food and beverages at the festival Marketplace Booths as well.

When is the Food and Wine Festival 2022?

The Food & Wine Fest is taking place this year, from July 14 through November 19, 2022.

Handy Tips for Food and Wine Festival 2022

➡ Wear a Flexible Dress

Don't undervalue how hot Epcot will be during the "autumn"! In central Florida, highs in the 80s are typical well into November.

Even later in the festival, it can get hot, and even worst, it might be difficult to find shade at Epcot.

I advise taking frequent rests in the air conditioning to stay cool.

Even better, you may take your festival food to a fast service restaurant nearby and eat there.

At Disney World, everyone is free to sit anywhere they like and purchase food from any establishment.

➡ Prior to Your Visit, Make Itinerary List

Most visitors to Walt Disney World will only get the opportunity to take in the festival's centerpiece, the Marketplace Booths.

Around Epcot, you may buy sample-sized servings of food and drink at the Marketplace Booths, a collection of little-themed structures.

Most samples cost $3 to $7. There are around 200 products at the booths that you could try, according to some fast math.

Obviously, you won't be able to try them all in a single day (or even one week).

Before you go, it helps to establish a shortlist of several things you really want to try.

The easiest way to achieve this is to visit the Festival pages of the Disney Food Blog to view the complete booth menus and images.

To give you a general idea of what is there before you arrive, AJ and her staff make an effort to photograph every item.

When traveling this year, go with a shortlist of things you know you would love to do.

It will enable you to reject certain things that you are sure would have been interesting. So that you can concentrate on what you truly want to try.

➡ Use Your Snack Credits

Save any snack credits you may have from the Disney Dining Plan and spend them during the event.

Almost any food sample can be purchased with a snack credit. even ones that cost more than $8!

A snack credit is worth $5, therefore you will use them at the festival for something more expensive.

➡ Do not Skip the Eat to The Beat Performances

The nightly Eat to the Beat Concerts is another festival feature that is covered by the park entrance.

At 5:30, 6:45, and 8:00 p.m. each night, the American Garden Theatre hosts them three times.

The performances are so much fun, and they feature rock and pop stars from the 1980s and 1990s (think Starship, Billy Ocean, Wilson Phillips).

Many people would spend a lot of money just to attend some of these shows!

Get in line early to secure a seat for the 8:00 show. which is the most popular concert.

Unless you are there on a really busy day and truly want amazing seats, I would not recommend making a reservation for an Eat to the Beat Dining Package (which includes a dinner and seating for a show).

You'd rather spend the money at the festival trying more dishes because they are pricey.

➡ Make Adequate Budget Appropriately

How quickly $4 here and $5 there piles up is astounding. You can budget $20–$30 per person only for food.

It isn't too outrageous because this is comparable to the price you would pay for a meal at a table service restaurant at Disney World.

But it's with cocktails that you can truly overspend.

Typically, beer and wine samples are served in portions of half that quantity,

(i.e., 3 ounces of wine and 6 ounces of beer/mixed beverages). Samples of wine and beer typically cost between $4 and $8, whereas mixed drinks are close to $10.

however, I advise you to stick with beer and wine as those fancy mixed cocktails are very pricey in order to maximize your budget!

Also, consider, Sharing a beer or wine flight with a buddy to maximize your savings.

There are three or four smaller-sized samples on each trip. For the least amount of money, you'll be able to attempt the most things.

➡ Staying out of Lines & Crowded Places?

Many locals attend the festival, particularly on Friday evenings and all day on Saturday.

Avoid these times if you want the greatest experience possible!

Sundays are the least crowded,  you should go on a Sunday. Avoid the busiest times at the booths if you find yourself at the event on a busy day.

These hours typically fall between midday and two o'clock and then again between six and eight.

The ideal strategy is to stop by a few booths for an hour just when they open (between 11 am and noon.

Then stop by more in the afternoon before the evening crowds start to build up around 6 pm.
